LOS ANGELES — Girlfriends Films Distribution announced today that it would suspend its DVD replication until further notice.
The company is unable to print and author orders, but will have product ready to ship when production resumes. The brand's production arm, Girlfriends Films, had previously announced a production moratorium beginning Thursday, March 12, following the World Health Organization's declaration of the coronavirus outbreak as a global pandemic.
In a statement, the company thanked its partners for their patience and understanding during these "unprecedented times."
"We appreciate your business, and we are doing everything we can to protect our staff, crew and talent, while continuing to produce quality products for all of our customers," reads the statement. "Please be safe [and] follow the advised [safety] protocols. We look forward to working with you all to get things back on track as soon as this global threat has subsided."
