LOS ANGELES — The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has issued an update regarding disbursements from its Emergency Fund.
FSC has raised $115,000 and received 489 applicants.
The text of tonight's update follows:
The FSC Emergency Fund helps talent and crew who can’t work during the COVID-19 production hold.
To date, we have received almost 500 applications and raised $115,000, with another $5,000 in pledged donations. This includes the $20,000 in matching funds from Pornhub.
For us to send checks to all eligible applicants, we will need to raise an additional $30,000 beyond the currently pledged donations. To be able to reopen the application for financial relief, we will need to raise even more than that.
We are still in the process of distributing the first 200 checks. We have sent checks to 163 people but have been unable to confirm payment information for 37 people. They need to reply to the email we sent to the address they provided with their application. If we don’t hear from them by Friday, April 17, we will put their names back into the pool and reallocate those funds to other verified applicants.
Next week, we will notify the next 100 applicants eligible to receive a $300 check.
If you have not yet been notified that you will be receiving a check, please be patient. We are working as quickly as we can to get these funds sent to talent and crew.
