Tenga's 'Flip Orb Blue Rush,' 'Orange Crash' Win Red Dot Awards

TOKYO — Tenga’s Flip Orb Blue Rush and Orange Crash have received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2020.

Each year an international jury of experts assesses thousands of entries from all over the world, awarding the Red Dot Award to products of high design in both form and function.

The Flip Orb contains firm, flexible orbs encased in a soft elastomer. The Flip Orb Blue Rush features ribbed waves that are punctuated by alternating orbs for a boost in stimulation. The Flip Orb Orange Crash features nubs that provide enveloping sensations as the user pushes through the orbs.

The Flip Orb is the first hourglass-shaped item in the Flip series that features a cap instead of slide arms to hold it closed. This shape makes the product easy to hold and can be squeezed mid-way through.

Tenga has previously been awarded Red Dot Awards for its iroha series, the Tenga Spinner in 2019, the Tenga Flex in 2018, the Tenga SVR in 2017 and the Tenga 3D series in 2012, which the company says marked a world first for a product used for solo male masturbation to receive the Red Dot Award of design excellence.
