LOS ANGELES — Adult Time has announced the production of adult anime series "F.U.T.A. Sentai Squad," its second 3D hentai project following the launch of "Hentai Sex School" in February.
“The reception for our first animated project, a collaboration with Animeshin Club, was overwhelmingly positive,” Adult Time Executive Producer Frank Stacy said. “There is a big demand for this type of content, and we are definitely going to keep exploring this genre in the future.”
This time around, the adult streaming platform has partnered up with independent studio AgentRedGirl Animations, who specializes in creating "popular futanari themes" according to a rep.
"We are incredibly excited about this opportunity to work with Adult Time to help bring a new, unique and incredibly fun futanari-themed story to life," AgentRedGirl said. "This animation is going to be very special and bring something very new and special to the adult animation world."
A rep explained that "futanari" is the Japanese term for "hermaphroditism" and that this niche category of adult content portrays characters with feminine bodies that have both male and female genitalia, "opening up a world of possibilities for fans seeking unique and erotic themes."
Adult Time revealed that "F.U.T.A. Sentai Squad" will be set in a futuristic cyberpunk universe, inspired by classic Japanese animation tropes. The story centers on a squad of heroes fighting an evil force threatening to destroy mankind. Influences on the scripts range from classics of the “sentai," “magical girl warrior” and “mecha” genres such as "Power Rangers," "Sailor Moon," "Voltron," "Gundam," "She-Ra" and Evangelion franchises to Go Nagai’s 80s VOAs covering both eastern and western entertainment.
"Think 'Pacific Rim,' but with city-destroying sex," teased a rep. "Ambitious? Yes. Over the top? Absolutely."
3X West, who leads pre-production for Adult Time's various studios, said, “There’s something so timeless and poignant about a mismatched bunch of characters banding together to rise up and fight against overwhelming odds. In a time where everyone’s feeling more and more divided, these kinds of stories where people set aside their differences to accomplish amazing things — and literally save the world together — have never been more important. We’re really excited to put our own X-rated spin on this classic tale.”
The two-part pilot for the project is set to release in Fall 2020. In the meantime, fans of animated content can watch Adult Time’s ongoing "Hentai Sex School" series and keep an eye out for the upcoming AgentRedGirl partner channel that will go live this May.
