SAN FRANCISCO — Pink and White Productions has announced the final call for film submissions to the 2020 San Francisco PornFilmFestival, set to take place on August 20-21, and livestreamed online.
"Filmmakers and porn aficionados from around the world can come together — online — to celebrate rare and unique adult films that champion sexual diversity and artistic ingenuity,” said a rep, “and enjoy livestream conversations with international guest curators and directors, amongst other interactive elements."
San Francisco PornFilmFestival’s virtual premiere will be powered by the company's indie adult film platform PinkLabel.tv.
The virtual festival coincides with the 50th anniversary of the first public screening of hardcore sex to happen in the United States in 1970, during the International Erotic Film Festival at the Presidio Theatre.
“Topics of sexual rights and free speech are as relevant now as they were pre-internet,” the rep added. “The festival aims to honor the city’s sexual cinematic legacy — whether taking place at a local theater or broadcast to a global online audience.”
The call for submissions ends next Wednesday, May 20.
