MOYOCK, N.C. — The Home Pleasure Party Plan Association (HPPPA) recently hosted a three-part online education series called "The Evolving Adult Novelty Market," featuring various industry execs.
The live-streamed series of conversations ran from February through April 2020, and began with a session with Loren Levy, the CEO of Classic Brands. Levy discussed the evolution of the adult retail industry and its evolution towards sexual health and wellness.
Scott Watkins, VP of sales and marketing for Doc Johnson, conducted the second part of the series. He discussed the utilization of social media influencers to introduce and promote products to consumers, as well as how to increase website traffic and sales through the use of social media.
The third part of the series was conducted by Tamara Bell, founder of HPPPA and co-owner of Angelic Pleasures, and Kim Varner, member services manager for HPPPA and owner of Kymbra's Closet. Bell and Varner conducted a review of the first two parts of the series and discussed how the information translates to the home party plan sector. They also provided steps that can be taken by party plan owners to ensure their companies are changing with the times and trends while maintaining steady growth.
The HPPPA is an association created to address the needs of the home pleasure party plan independent owner. For more information and to join, email tamara@hpppa.org.
