Clips4Sale 'Legal Zone' Webinar Returns Monday

TAMPA, Fla. — The Clips4Sale "Legal Zone" webinar series will present a brand-new installment Monday, June 27 at 1 p.m. (PDT), with industry attorney Corey D. Silverstein and "recurring guest attorney" Lawrence Walters joining host Neil, founder of Clips4Sale.

A full menu of topics for discussion will include the "anti-privacy EARN IT Act (aka, Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies Act), virtual trade shows and CityXGuide.com being seized by the government last month," a rep explained.

Discussion of the EARN IT Act will center on its implications for adult.

"If passed, the government would require adult content moderation policies and prohibit encryption that would allow online platforms to retain their current immunity," said the rep. "The Act has been picking up steam, and many senators are getting behind it. The consequences for the EARN IT Act could be devastating and far-reaching, if it passes. Our industry needs to pay attention, and your hosts will have some ideas on how we can take action."

The hosts will also discuss how "2020 has become the age of virtual tradeshows" and the seizure of CityXGuide.com by the U.S. government.

“Threats to online freedom and sexual expression are looming in both Congress and the courts. We will break down the most important legal developments in this important session, which should not be missed," said Walters.

The Clips4Sale Legal Zone webinar is scheduled to run for 60 minutes and is open to anyone; click here for additional details. Each episode is subsequently archived here.
