ImLive Launches 'Scrotal Recall' Campaign to Save Endangered Frog Species

LOS ANGELES — ImLive.com has launched a "Scrotal Recall" campaign to commemorate National Wildlife Day and to raise funds for the endangered Titicaca Giant Frog (aka the Scrotum Frog).

The campaign "originated from an ImLive member who requested ImLive help animals in need," and includes a "wild animal-style party" starting today and continuing through Sunday. "During this time, the site and its hosts will take a walk on the wild side for a good cause: ImLive will donate 5% of all proceeds generated from the party to the Denver Zoo," a rep explained.

"Scrotal Recall" is part of the ImLive “18th Birthday Wish-a-Thon," which is granting 18 wishes from fans to celebrate its 18 years in business.

"The 'Scrotum Frog' made headlines in July when scientists in Bolivia and the U.S. warned that this species of frog may be in danger," said the rep. "The Denver Zoo has championed this particular frog species since its population decline made headlines in 2016, when more than 10,000 of the frogs died suddenly. The Denver Zoo, which acquired a small population of the frogs that year, is the only North American institution to have them. In 2017, the frogs hatched roughly 200 tadpoles at the zoo, the first time Titicaca frogs have ever hatched in North America."

"In order to protect the scrotum species," the rep continues, "ImLive jumped to action with the 'Scrotal Recall' fundraiser."

Adrian Stoneman, VP of ImLive, expressed enthusiasm for the unusual promotion.

"Here at ImLive, we care deeply about the environment and are 'toad-ally' excited about helping the preservation of wildlife,” Stoneman said. “To fulfill one ImLive users’ wish in the most 'un-frogettable' way possible, we’re asking our whole community to turn their attention to — and help save — a different type of scrotum, a majestic species that once swelled in numbers within Lake Titicaca before commercial industries initiated their demise.”

In addition to "Scrotal Recall," the wishes granted by ImLive during its "18th Birthday Wish-a-Thon" include paying for a user's dental surgery, covering the expenses related to another user's heart surgery and offering free one-on-one "companion sessions" to new users living in senior assisting living facilties.
