Female-Centric Platform 'Afterglow' Launches Indiegogo Campaign

AUSTIN, Texas — Entrepreneur Lilly Sparks is launching her "sex-positive, pleasure-focused platform" Afterglow on Indiegogo today with the mission of "empowering everyone to become experts in their own pleasure."

Intended as "the sex resource we all need," explained a rep, Afterglow plans to offer "a space to talk about sex openly as well as make it fun, like it should be." Following its core mission to encourage everyone to "love and embrace their sexuality and diverse desires, the Afterglow platform will cultivate the unabashed enjoyment of sex through mouth-watering, sex-positive content that highlights the pleasure of all participants."

The founders of Afterglow aim to "eliminate social stigma and begin normalizing sex, and porn, for the next generation," continued the rep. "The platform is a direct response to cultural norms that work to disconnect people from their bodies and discourage them from discovering, discussing and asking for what they want."

As such, Afterglow will form two sites:

  • "The Glow": For the curious. Their community home, a free resource to explore sex and sexual wellness at XOtheglow.com
  • "Afterglow": For the horny. An 18-plus subscription site featuring premium, original and licensed adult content. Porn for your pleasure at XOafterglow.com

Monthly membership to the Afterglow adult network will start at $10 per month. "Early adopters can back Afterglow on Indiegogo now, starting at $25 for the first film," the rep noted. "A limited count of lifetime memberships will also be available for $99 — less than the cost of an annual membership. The brand hopes to raise over $15,000 to grow their team, produce additional content and launch the full website and platform."

Alongside the Indiegogo campaign, Afterglow is also launching its first Pleasure Service Line.

"This is a toll-free dial-in for the public to experience Afterglow content, pledge support and join the Afterglow community," explained the rep. "For a limited time, users can dial into 1-620-I-SAY-YES to partake in the campaign and experience a unique dial-pad led, pleasure-centric adventure."

Sparks, the founder and CEO of Afterglow, is passionate about furthering the platform's mission.

“Many of us are either not aware of the sex resources that are out there or don’t feel safe exploring them,” she said. “At Afterglow we believe that everyone can and should experience sexual pleasure. Our goal is to finally create a comfortable space to discover, discuss and engage in pleasure in all of its forms. Our content is inclusive in recognizing and amplifying the diverse desires and preferences of women, which are absent or underrepresented in the mainstream. We want people to start openly talking about porn, sex and personal preferences; so that we can all start to better understand ourselves and one another.”
