xHamster Surveys Visitors' Political Affiliation, Voting Habits

LOS ANGELES — On the eve of Election Day in the United States, xHamster has released the results of a poll of 6,500 visitors to the platform to identify potential connections between their political affiliations and their porn-viewing habits.

Fans of adult content are "significantly more politically engaged than the general population," xHamster VP Alex Hawkins said. "According to the survey, 88% of U.S. visitors eligible to vote plan to in the 2020 election, whereas just over 60% of the voting age population does so nationally."

"We have over 120 million US visitors a month, 95% of whom are citizens and eligible to vote," observed Hawkins. "They're incredibly politically engaged, but no one is paying attention to them. In a close election, a smart candidate should be looking for any method they can to get out the vote — and we have them."

Survey details include the following:

  • Fans of gay/bi and cuckold films are the most likely to vote in this election. Their fan bases skew liberal and center, respectively, than other genres, and demonstrate enthusiasm on the left
  • Fans of MILFs are the next most likely to vote, and single largest porn voter bloc. MILF fans skew dramatically more to the right than other genres. A small increase in MILF votes could swing the election to the right
  • Fans of cams are among the least likely to vote

"Cams could decide this election," said Hawkins. "If a politician from either party wants to make a last-minute pitch to voters on the xHamsterLive platform, we'll put them on the front page to speak directly at our audience of over 60 million. No matter what your politics, we should all want to see more people engaged and voting."
