BOSTON — The critically acclaimed erotic thriller "Mirror Game" from director and Sssh.com founder Angie Rowntree earned top honors from the 2021 XBIZ Awards, including "Erotic-Themed Movie of the Year" and "Best Music" for composer Roland Moralis.
Recipients of the 2021 XBIZ Awards, presented by MyFreeCams, were revealed Thursday, January 14 during a live broadcast on XBIZ.tv.
"I''m thrilled to have 'Mirror Game' win the prestigious 'Erotic-Themed Movie of the Year' award and so glad that the outstanding score composed by Roland Moralis has been recognized,” Rowntree said.
"'Mirror Game' was a true team effort, combining amazing performances from June Ann and Rob Gadling, brilliant writing by Sarah Valmont, Roland’s gorgeous soundtrack and — never to be overlooked — the incredible work done behind the scenes," Rowntree noted. "Also, immense credit goes to our Director of Photography Rob Tanguay and our very small but talented crew."
Rowntree described how the XBIZ Awards wins and other honors received by "Mirror Game" demonstrate that "it's not about how big your crew or cast is, or how large your budget is — at the end of the day, making great films is all about vision, passion, love and teamwork."
"I'm blessed to have a team of dedicated, passionate people to work with who care every bit as much about the final film as I do," she continued. "I can’t thank them enough for the hard work and professionalism they bring to the table on every Sssh.com project."
The XBIZ Awards trophies add to a growing shelf of honors for the feature.
"There is no greater honour than to be recognized by one's own industry and peers," said Rowntree. "Thank you, XBIZ."
