LOS ANGELES — "Future Darkly," Adult Time’s X-rated taboo twist on the type of near-future dystopian sci-fi genre popularized by “Black Mirror,” was spotlighted by tech and culture site Daily Dot today.
Daily Dot writer Beck Diaz recommended the series as “perfect for sci-fi porn lovers and members looking for something a little out of the ordinary, but it’s also a great fit for any porn enthusiast who wants to view Hollywood film-like content.”
“From the various angles to the award-winning special effects and creative scripts, 'Future Darkly' might very well be the future of porn,” Diaz added.
The series has earned three XBIZ Awards, including a 2020 trophy for Tommy Pistol as "Best Actor" for "The Aura Doll," and "Taboo Release of the Year" and "Best Non-Sex Performance" for Nina Hartley in 2019's "Artifamily."
The article referenced mainstream cult productions such as “Inception,” “The Matrix” and “Ex Machina” as influences for the Adult Time franchise.
"'Future Darkly' delivers expertly produced science fiction porn,” the article explained. “All of its releases are shot in 4K ultra HD and feature some pretty recognizable names in porn. Jill Cassidy, Angela White, and Jane Wilde are just a few of the heavy hitters that have graced the screens at this studio.”
Diaz also praised Adult Time's Netflix-style user interface and subscription model that allows access to similar sites and libraries.
