BERLIN — German producer Steven Shame has announced the launch of the second season of his reality-style series “DateRanger," four months after the series debut.
"We were delighted by the huge international success with viewers,” said Shame. “[As a result] the 'Ranger' will be continued on a larger scale."
The new installment takes the concept to new locations in multiple countries and features more episodes than the first season.
"We will eventually produce 48 new episodes of the reality series,” said Shame
Since early March, a rep explained, filming has been underway in Spain, France, Hungary, Italy and Germany, featuring several international adult stars. Joining the cast for the first episodes of the second season are Jade Presley (Spain), BDSM specialist Venom Evil (Spain), Ania Kinski (France), Lucy Heart (Russia) and Mara Martinez from (Germany).
"Our casting department has pulled off some coups,” boasted Shame. “The fans will be thrilled.”
Following on the steps of first series’ male talent Bodo Burner, the second “DateRanger” features Kevin White and Robin Reed (Spain) as well as Cel and Rico Simmons (France)
"In the past, we have taken inspiration for many of our productions from popular YouTube formats,” said Shame, “and now ‘DateRanger’ takes the next step and combines this style with state-of-the-art reality TV influences."
Each episode of “DateRanger” is introduced in the style of a reality show. “Visually, that means point-of-view is supplemented with gonzo elements,” said Shame. “On one hand, the viewer has an overview of the scene, but on the other hand, he's up-close-and-personal in the first-person perspective."
