LOS ANGELES — Clandestine Devices is reporting a successful run of summer pleasure product expos, including the recently concluded virtual ANME/XBIZ Show, with its first-ever wearable vibe Companion.
“It was exciting to be doing my first shows with Clandestine. I love the brand and it’s an honor to be representing it,” Operations Manager Lulu Shwartzer said. “We had such a great response from store owners, online retailers, bloggers and distributors from around the globe, many who had not been exposed to [our] Mimic or the Mimic+ — much less the Companion — and were unaware of what we had to offer."
Shwartzer noted the virtual expos offer "a great opportunity to sit down with new buyers and introduce them to the Companion and create sales strategies moving forward with those who are already carrying it as well as the rest of the line. Companion is taking off with retailers, so now it's just a matter of sustaining that momentum over time."
The device is described as "perfectly curved," rechargeable, waterproof and equipped with an accompanying wearable remote control and detachable wristband with seven whisper-quiet vibration patterns and five levels of intensity — four, if used solo.
The remote control has a range of up to 60 feet for 1.5 hours and its interchangeable remote bands are compatible with Apple watch and smartwatch bands.
“We’re making sure that retail employees are trained to sell Companion to the consumer. We are one of the lucky companies that has plenty of stock on all of our items," Shwartzer added. "I'm looking forward to in-store trainings now that we are getting back on the road, [but] the last year-and-a-half has taught us that Zoom can be a great tool for training smaller stores in remote locations."
The Companion retails for $149. Click here for additional details; direct retail and distribution inquiries to lulu@clandestinedevices.com.
