LOS ANGELES — “Pleaser,” a new single by Empty Streets, the musical project by Aaron Thompson — known in the adult industry as performer Small Hands — has been selected by Billboard magazine for inclusion in the prestigious feature “10 Cool Pop Songs to Get You Through the Week."
Small Hands, the 2018 XBIZ award-winner for “Male Performer of the Year,” has been promoting his “Age of Regret” EP with “Pleaser” as well as a religiously themed video directed by veteran adult helmsman Mike Quasar that features Jessie Lee and Kira Noir.
Earlier this year, Small Hands described Empty Streets to metal news site Loudwire as “a one-man mess of dark, brooding synthpop.”
Billboard’s Joe Lynch praised “Pleaser” earlier this week, noting that “Empty Streets... delivers some darkly alluring Depeche Mode vibes” featuring “a melancholy, moody synth sermon that pulls you in like an inescapable undertow tugging at your ankles. “
