TOKYO — Tenga is marking the milestone of having shipped a reported 100 million units worldwide with a limited-edition commemorative design of its top-selling Tenga Cup to mark the occasion.
The company is also holding a giveaway on its Twitter and Instagram accounts.
A rep noted Tenga was established in March 2005, formally launched the brand four months later with a range of stylish, hygienic masturbators — the Tenga Cup Series — and sold over 1 million units in its first year. In 2007, Tenga launched globally, starting in neighboring Asian countries and shortly followed by the United States and Europe. The company currently counts over 200 products in its range, and is available in over 70 countries worldwide, alongside newer brands Iroha and Tenga Healthcare.
"The brand’s most popular item by units sold worldwide is its trademark red and silver Original Vacuum Cup, followed by the item’s original limited-edition luxury offering, the Premium Tenga Cup, and the Tenga Egg Series of stretchable, non-cased masturbators that accommodate most sizes," noted a rep.
The commemorative Tenga Cup is "adorned with a design reminiscent of the Tenga Rocket that was launched earlier in 2021," the rep said, and ships in a set with three bestselling variations of the Original Vacuum Cup — the Standard, Gentle and Premium.
The set will be sold in limited quantities in Asia, and is only available globally through a social media giveaway that launches today.
Participate in the campaign on Twitter by following the brand's official account and retweeting the campaign post. "It won’t affect your chances but feel free to throw us a nice #Happy100MillionTENGA while you’re at it," noted the rep.
Fans may also follow the brand on Instagram and tag themselves or a friend in the comments section of the campaign post with the hashtag #Happy100MillionTENGA.
"As with Twitter, it won’t affect your chances but we’d love to see some great #Happy100MillionTENGA stories on Instagram if you’re feeling in the celebratory mood," the rep said.
The campaign runs through Jan. 15 and 20 winners will be drawn at random; click here for complete terms and conditions.
