LOS ANGELES — Next Door Studios has rolled out the first episode of new original series "Bro Code" starring Andrew Miller and Roman Todd.
"Playing into the hyper-masculine nature of the idea of the 'bro code,' the series promises to dive into what it truly means to be a 'bro,' testing the limits of male friendship when teased with the prospect of amazing sex," a rep said.
Writer Dalton King was inspired by the series premise.
"I love the concept of the bro code,” he said. “That there’s this set of rules that all men have to follow if they want to be friends with each other. The idea of a bro code is already super-homoerotic, so I love just being able to take that homoeroticism and crank it up to 11.”
The first episode, titled “He’s Off-Limits,” begins as Todd finds himself attracted to his best friend’s brother (Miller); however, the first rule of the code is that brothers are off-limits, which the studs find ways to break.
Director Walden Woods praised the chemistry of the two stars.
“Every time that we have either Andrew or Roman on set, we know it’s going to be a great day to make some magic," he said. "These two got along so well and were really able to bring out their unique personalities and apply that to their characters. Andrew is still getting his feet wet in the industry, so Roman was able to teach him a thing or two in front of, and behind, the camera. It was really rewarding to direct these two and bring this scene to life. I think you all will really enjoy it."
