HOLYWOOD, Calif. — Ana Foxxx appeared this week on the third episode of HBO’s new original series “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.”
The show, based on Jeff Pearlman’s nonfiction bestseller “Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers,” follows the iconic Los Angeles basketball team during the 1980s on and off the court.
The show’s ensemble cast includes John C. Reilly, Quincy Isaiah, Jason Clarke, Adrien Brody, Sally Field and Jason Segel.
Foxxx appeared in the third episode, which aired on Sunday. Her role was originally identified as “Zastro’s Girl,” but during shooting the character was given the name “Foxy.”
The XBIZ Award-winning performer shows off her acting skills in “Winning Time” playing a sex worker at a party house that Magic Johnson (Isaiah) visits.
Foxxx has previously appeared in such mainstream projects as “Tangerine,” “American Kamasutra,” “Toy,” “Diminuendo” and “All-American Bikini Car Wash” for Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime and others.
“I was excited to be part of such a brilliant project,” Foxxx commented. “It was cool how retro the sets and clothes were — they really got the 1980s down.”
“It’s great to show my acting abilities in mainstream, and I’m hoping for even juicier roles coming my way,” she added.
