HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sparks Entertainment has wrapped production on "Maid to Kill," a sci-fi thriller starring Lily Larimar.
Described as a Hitchcockian drama set in the future where criminals are sentenced to a life of servitude, Larimar plays an ex-con recruited by a mysterious government agency for an undercover mission disguised as a maid.
Chloe Cherry, who recently earned mainstream buzz with a splashy recurring role in the Emmy-winning HBO drama series "Euphoria," had initially been tapped to play the lead role, but was forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
Joining Larimar in the cast are Aiden Ashley, Anna Claire Clouds, Ana Foxxx, Isiah Maxwell and Kira Noir.
"Shot in a widescreen anamorphic format for the ultimate cinematic effect, 'Maid to Kill' will be a six-part web series set to be released in early summer after the special effects, editing, sound and music are complete," a rep said.
"Maid to Kill" will be available in X-rated and R-rated versions; writer, director and company owner Harry Sparks has promised a red carpet premiere for the latter.
“Honestly, I’m glad there was a scheduling conflict and I was able to recast Lily in the lead. She did an incredible job, and I was really impressed by her acting skills. I can definitely see her getting multiple nominations this awards season,” he said.
