NEW YORK — Following a hiatus last year, the CineKink film festival will broadcast on PinkLabel.tv Wednesday through Sunday, followed by a week of encores.
"Featuring a specially-curated program of films and videos that celebrate and explore a wide diversity of sexuality, the festival will also include filmmaker Q&As, a 'Bring It!'-style adult entertainment showdown, kinky kick-off bingo, an awards celebration and a DIY 'Afterglow' play party to wrap the festivities," a rep said. "And since we’re all-virtual this year, you can join us from anywhere."
Screening all day Wednesday is "Taste of CineKink" featuring 13 short films, as well as kinky bingo via Zoom.
Thursday's season opener includes “Lust Life Love," which explores the life of a bisexual, polyamorous sex blogger falling in love with a monogamous man, preceded by the short film "Melting Point," and "Raw! Uncut! Video!" which chronicles the rise and fall of gay porn studio Palm Drive Video, preceded by the short "Death Race."
On Friday, two programs of "lusty" and "kinky" shorts, titled "Well Met" and "Kindred," respectively, are on the menu.
Saturday finds the "WTF Shorts!" program "Zeitgeist Europa," followed by CineKink's "adult cinema smackdown." The day's programming closes with screenings of the documentary "Submission Possible: San Francisco," preceded by the short "Freya Mills Pavlovian Submissive," and romantic drama "Vivante."
On Sunday, CineKink presents "Spotlight: Charles Lum & Todd Verow," which will spotlight two works that were completed by Verow in the months following Charles’ death in 2021, along with a compilation of the duo's award-winning short documentary and narrative films about gay sex and cruising.
Sunday's program also includes the "DIY AfterGlow!!" shorts program "From Fantasy to Film: Design Your Own Erotic Film," which is a separate ticketed event, and a free awards celebration.
Select films will begin encore screenings Monday, May 9 and continue through Sunday, May 15.
