SAN FRANCISCO — Falcon/NakedSword has inked an exclusive development deal with screenwriter and director Ben Rush.
Rush will develop, write and potentially direct movies for Falcon Studios, NakedSword Originals, Raging Stallion Studios and Hot House Video. In addition, he will participate in the creation and execution of brand extensions and various special projects for the company.
In addition to "Ride or Die," Raging Stallion's sprawling multi-part crime saga, Rush recently wrote and co-directed, with Pierce Paris, the comic romp "Bred & Breakfast: The Come Inn" from NakedSword Originals.
Additional scripts include "Dirty 30: Bareback Birthday" and "Power Play" from Raging Stallion, "Random Fucks" from Hot House and "Dear Johnny" from NakedSword Originals; coming up is Falcon's holiday release "The Gift," and a feature recently shot on location in Europe.
“I’ve always had an interest in erotic storytelling and Falcon/NakedSword is the premier brand for all-male adult entertainment. I’m proud to be in business with a studio that has not only such a rich history but also a bright future," said Rush.
"Falcon/NakedSword has always been an innovative studio with top-tier filmmakers and talent," he added. "Under the leadership of Tim Valenti, I’m excited to contribute to projects that will bring contemporary hardcore content to new and longtime fans.”
Rush has a background in theatrical motion pictures and television, and is familiar with the demands of development, screenwriting and physical production. "He has a particular talent for crafting strong and relatable storylines that complement the framework of adult movies, which makes him adept at creating hardcore content that satisfies viewers on multiple levels," a rep said.
Valenti noted Rush has "knocked it out of the park" with "Ride or Die," "The Come Inn" and other recent titles.
"I'm thrilled to be able to incorporate his unique voice into upcoming projects,” he added. “As we continue to create our trademark cutting-edge content, Ben will be an invaluable addition to the team.”
