TORONTO — Heather Morrison, the co-founder and CEO of Bump'n, and Andrew Gurza, the company's co-founder and chief disability officer, will host a special event titled "Bump'n the Barriers to Sex and Disability in the LGBTQ2S+ Community" at Glad Day Bookshop in Toronto on Tuesday, June 14, at 7 p.m. (EDT).
The event, co-sponsored by retailer Good for Her, will examine ways to "combat ableism and prevent macro- and microaggressions as an ally, partner and community member to LGBTQ2S+ people with disabilities," a rep said.
Gurza will offer "offer practical tips and options for people with disabilities and their partners to explore and enhance their pleasure," added the rep. "If you work with people with disabilities and want to advocate for the sexual wellbeing of your clients come learn about these strategies and innovative tools."
Morrison and Gurza will also present the Bump'n Joystick device and how it can be used with compatible WOW Tech pleasure toys to "enable creative options in exploring different types of pleasure."
Gurza noted that "everyone deserves access to sexual pleasure."
"At this event, we will 'bump the barriers' to sexual pleasure through our product, the Bump'n Joystick, and also by shining a light on conversations around sex and disability that are often seen as taboo," he added.
In addition to in-person seating, the event will also be livestreamed on Zoom with the support of Good for Her, We-Vibe and the WowTech Pride Fund.
