WSC Spotlights Kimberly Wilson of 'Passions in Columbia' as Latest 'Retail Superstar'

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Sensual Care (WSC) has crowned Kimberly Wilson of Columbia, Missouri's Passions In Columbia brick-and-mortar superstore as its newest "Retail Superstar" honoree.

Each month, a new "superstar" in the pleasure products space is interviewed for the WSC newsletter. "Kimberly’s profile reveals an accomplished self-starter whose decision to enter adult retail was motivated by a desire to move beyond the confines of a job with a conventional corporation," a rep said.

"Passions in Columbia is known throughout the mid-Missouri region for being a high-end superstore," continued the rep. "The boutique is spotless, well-organized and staffed by some of the most helpful and knowledgeable employees to be found in the industry."

Wilson noted she "made a life choice to leave traditional corporate America."

"I had little to no idea of what to do next," she recalled. "Then my daughter came across a listing for Passions in Columbia."

She recently shared an inspiring encounter with WSC brand strategist and resident sex educator Jessica Drake.

“I had a wonderful experience meeting Kimberly,” said Drake. “I was immediately in awe of the wealth of knowledge and experience that makes her such an incredible resource; not just for customers, but for her fellow employees."

Wilson enjoys making her customers "feel welcome and relaxed."

"My favorite part of my job is opening people’s eyes to new things, and allowing everyone to feel safe and secure while we share our experiences with one another," she said. "I love to gab, and I place a premium on making people feel comfortable in what can sometimes be an awkward situation."

WSC Sales Director Jennifer Brice praised Wilson's facility with one-on-one interactions.

“It isn’t just an outgoing personality that makes for a great retail employee, but specifically one with an aptitude for talking to strangers with warmth, a positive attitude and great energy,” Brice said. “Everything else can be taught, but without that engaging persona the job of talking to people, particularly about sex and intimacy, can become difficult. Fortunately, this is where Kimberly shines."

A potential "retail superstar" may be nominated by sending their name, store name, location/city, store social media handles and a brief paragraph — a photograph is optional — about why they deserve to be a superstar to team@wickedsensualcare.com. Superstars may also self-nominate.
