CLEAR Labs Partners With Pineapple Support to Provide Testing

LOS ANGELES — Miami-based CLEAR Labs has partnered with Pineapple Support to provide testing for adult performers, which the companies say will be more efficient and less expensive.

CLEAR is offering a $10 discount to all performers who are also members of Pineapple Support when they get tested with the lab.

"We have learned a lot from talking to performers and lots of people in the industry," said CLEAR CEO Humberto Buniotto. "There are inefficiencies that can be addressed and the industry has suffered from a lack of options for over a decade. We are a solution built around the needs of performers or talent."

Pineapple Support was founded by Leya Tanit in 2018 and has connected over 5,000 performers with free or reduced-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.

"I’m thrilled to work alongside CLEAR on this vital partnership," Tanit said. "The physical and emotional health of the performers in our industry has always been our number-one priority. Just as we work tirelessly to dismantle any barriers to accessing mental health services, it’s critical that performers have easy access to STI testing and diagnostic services."

Buniotto extolled the virtues of testing through automation technology.

"By leveraging technology and automation, CLEAR will be able to provide better, faster and more affordable testing options, with seamless delivery of results to performers and sharing with talent agencies and production companies," he said.

CLEAR offers a host of STI testing options, including the PASS STI panel required to perform in the adult industry. The lab offers testing seven days a week, with results provided the next day.
