LOS ANGELES — Reigning XBIZ Performer of the Year Maitland Ward will sign copies of her memoir, "Rated X: How Porn Liberated Me From Hollywood," at the Barnes & Noble store inside The Grove mall in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.
"I am so excited to be able to tell my story with the release of 'Rated X,' said Ward.
"They say that everyone has a book in them, and mine is a tale of hope, inspiration and courage to those who may live in fear of fully living their true selves due to society’s established structures," she continued. "I’ve followed the rules and broken the rules, and believe me, breaking the rules can set you free and empower you. I hope my experiences help set others free to live their best lives on their own terms."
Along with the book signing there will also be a panel Q&A moderated by four-time XBIZ Director of the Year Kayden Kross.
In June, "Rated X" received a glowing review from Kirkus Reviews, praising the book as "an exceptional narrative that champions the discovery of freedom in sexuality."
The Sept. 6 book signing also marks the date of the memoir's publication by Simon & Schuster's Atria Books imprint.
