LOS ANGELES — The mid-season finale of Seth Gamble’s new series, “Privilege,” featuring April Olsen and Damon Dice, debuts today on Wicked.com.
Produced by Wicked Head of Production Axel Braun, “Privilege” is an eight-scene series showcasing narrative storytelling and an ensemble cast of noted performers.
Olsen plays the the youngest daughter of towering family patriarch Alexander Nash (Evan Stone), who rules his family with an iron fist but has a soft spot for her.
“Getting into the adult industry, I never once thought I’d be handed a real script,” said Olsen of her role as the seemingly innocent but whip-smart daughter. “But sometimes, just sometimes, the script is well-thought-out and cohesive, and there are characters you can really connect with. I always find it a delightful challenge to adopt a new character and try my best to bring them to life.”
Olsen credits director Gamble with giving her the guidance needed to hone the finer aspects of her performance.
“Seth is one of those porn performers who can truly act, so I was a little nervous to take his direction,” she shared. “I remember one tearful scene in particular that took me out of my comfort zone — no one made me cry or anything, it was literally just a crying scene — but that’s why I got into the industry in the first place: to challenge myself and experience new things. We ended the many pages of dialogue with a steamy sex scene, featuring a particularly handsome Damon Dice. Seth said I rolled my eyes at him when he interrupted our passionate on-screen lovemaking. If I did, it was only because I was in character — like a real actress.”
Dice praised Gamble for being meticulous with his craft and holding his performers to high expectations. “He has always pushed me to be a better performer and has really helped me develop my craft as an actor ... I played a character that was very inquisitive and is trying to get to the bottom of the chaos and mysteries that are a part of the story's plot.”
Gamble described the pairing of Olsen and Dice as “definitely one of the most passionate scenes in the movie — there was a real sense of chemistry and connection.”
