NORTH BERGEN, N.J. — Nasstoys National Sales Manager Tony Sicilia passed away yesterday, the company reported.
Nasstoys issued the following statement regarding Sicilia’s passing:
It is with great sadness that Nasstoys shares the loss of beloved industry veteran, Tony Sicilia.
Anthony “Big T” Sicilia passed away suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023.
As the National Sales Manager for Nasstoys in a career that spanned over 25 years, Tony has long been considered a talented and passionate professional and a welcomed, familiar face among business leaders and personnel.
During his career Tony used his unmatched gift of animated storytelling to educate, delight and entertain countless members of the industry, and his genuine, warm kindness to forge meaningful, lifelong relationships along the way.
“Tony was one-of-a-kind, one of the greatest the industry has seen and a special man we were all privileged to share,” was the joint sentiment of Ted Rothstein and Elliot Schwartz, co-founders of Nasstoys
Tony proudly served in the U.S. Army, after which he enjoyed success in multiple careers before being introduced to the industry and Nasstoys by lifelong friend and Founder of Metro Distributors Ken Guarino.
“Sometimes we have the luck to do business with friends,” said Guarino. “Tony gave us the joy of doing business with family.”
Tony was a great believer in family values, shared meals, large holiday gatherings and the traditions that make them great. He is survived by his son Anthony, daughter Donna, and the love of his life, his wife Carol, each of whom Tony spoke of often, proudly and with immeasurable love.
