XBIZ Retreat Summer Edition Set for May 15-19

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce that the annual summer edition of XBIZ Retreat will take place May 15-19, returning to the beachfront Grand Miami Beach Hotel for what is anticipated to be the event’s biggest gathering yet.

Satisfyer has signed on as Presenting Sponsor of the exclusive and all-inclusive event, which will once again bring together international vendors and buyers for a week of curated private meetings and networking social events in the tropical city.

Following the success of the winter edition of XBIZ Retreat in January, more than 100 brands have already signed on to participate in the upcoming summer installment — and with space limited, exhibitor suites are expected to sell out.

“The enthusiastic response is a heartening reminder of the unique value and impact that this event brings to the community,” XBIZ Associate Publisher Sara Ramirez said. “Companies participate because they understand that XBIZ Retreat consistently helps them build connections, widen their brands’ reach and nurture retail success. We’re pleased to welcome new and returning attendees for another unforgettable Miami edition.”

Held three times a year, XBIZ Retreat features a packed, comprehensive itinerary anchored by one-on-one meetings between participating buyers and vendors. While indulging in a luxurious setting, XBIZ Retreat participants also are treated to special events, including cocktail mixers, gourmet dinners and entertainment.

The recent winter edition of the event, which took place in Hollywood and included admission to the XBIZ Honors awards ceremony, drew broad praise from attendees.

“XBIZ Retreat provides such a high-quality selection of buyers, great relationship-building opportunities and an amazing location,” said Danielle Seerley, director of sales for Thank Me Now. “I truly value the XBIZ events and find myself looking forward to each one throughout the year.”

Rouge Garments’ Farah Shaikh declared herself a fan of the event, enthusing that XBIZ Retreat “looks after its vendors, as well as buyers.”

Liberator VP of Sales Dennis Brito noted, “XBIZ Retreat has provided a more in-depth schedule for our brand. The format provides lots of insight into the industry as well.”

For Dr. Picolya Robinson, CEO and founder of Sugah Lipz, XBIZ Retreat was her very first industry event. She enthused about attending as someone with a new business and a new product.

“Everyone has been in this game for years, but they all welcomed me immediately and made me feel like one of the family,” she said.

Michael Bassett of Lonbrook applauded XBIZ for another well-planned, well-executed event.

“It was a perfect mix of business and pleasure with quality participants,” he said. “I can’t wait until the next show!”

Anne Meunier, international sales director for Lovely Planet, agreed.

“There's nowhere else you can find a trade show that offers qualified buyers from all around the world,” she said. “The show's mindset is professional: buyers are here to see and buy, vendors are here to show and sell, and it really happens.”

Jane Morgan of Japi Jane noted, “As a buyer from South America, the chance to network with other buyers and manufacturers from around the world was invaluable. I not only learned about new products, but also how my peers in the industry are doing business, and we discussed global trends.”

Bucking Bull Intimates owner Jim Williams said, “If you are a buyer, XBIZ Retreat is a must.”

Museum of Sex Head of Retail Kit Richardson said, “XBIZ is the perfect show to meet one on one with vendors. The intimate setting by day and the fun togetherness of the evening activities is the perfect blend of business and pleasure.”

Carolyn Eagle, founder of Betty’s Toy Box, added, “I never fail to leave XBIZ Retreat with my head full of new ideas, new products and new friendships.”
