NEW YORK — Conservative journalist Piers Morgan announced this afternoon that Stormy Daniels has postponed their interview, which was slated to be her first since former President Donald Trump’s indictment over his alleged role in a hush money payment scheme involving her, and in the subsequent cover-up.
Morgan had announced the interview earlier this morning via Twitter.
“As Donald Trump becomes the first US President in history to be indicted on criminal charges, I’ve got the first world exclusive interview with the woman who sparked the scandal,” Morgan tweeted this morning. “Tune into ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’ at 9 p.m. for my live interview with Stormy Daniels.”
Hours later he tweeted, "Unfortunately, Stormy Daniels has had to suddenly postpone our interview tonight due to some security issues that have arisen. Hope she’s OK."
Trump’s indictment is still sealed but sources familiar with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office investigation report that he faces over 30 business fraud charges connected to hush money payments to Daniels and actress/model Karen McDougal.
