LAS VEGAS — Takedown Piracy has launched Digital Fingerprint Image Search, a new image piracy detection system offered through ClipSentry.com.
The feature, powered by technology from AV Registry, is available to ClipSentry users at no extra cost, in addition to the existing digital fingerprinting system for videos.
"This new system is a complete game changer," said Takedown Piracy COO/CMO Reba Rocket. "We are uncovering images from a vast number of sources, at a faster, more accurate pace than ever before. This is far more robust than a simple Google Image Search, and does not rely on metadata. This means we find infringing content, regardless of the URL/link or verbiage in each post."
The system, Rocket said, has uncovered LinkedIn accounts using clients’ photos for profile pictures, and people selling dog tags with their images.
Takedown Piracy’s tech partner Shawn Evans, owner of AV Registry, explained that the antipiracy image search system "takes images and finds where they have been posted across the internet. We fingerprint the images through various methods, and the system captures them and then finds where they've been pirated. We automate the entire process, so we don't have to search for each image."
The feature is available for immediate use by all ClipSentry.com clients.
