LOS ANGELES — Mainstream thriller “The Nanny,” on which director Michael Vegas served as cinematographer, will be shown Friday at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre as part of the Silicon Beach Film Festival.
Vegas was also lead gaffer on the independently produced film, written and directed by Brian Reynolds. The feature is about a young woman from Finland (Georgia Gould) who finds herself in the middle of family drama when she takes a job as a caretaker for a couple’s (Adam Lee Kitchen and Angela Sauer) newborn baby.
“This will be the largest theater, not to mention the most prestigious and historic, that 'The Nanny' has been screened in thus far,” Vegas said. “We need the help of our fans and community to fill the theater! The Independent Filmmakers Showcase screening at the Regal Cinemas in May was nearly sold out, and we hope to do the same this time around as well.”
Reynolds received the award for Best Director at the Brighton Rocks International Film Festival earlier this year, and the film has been lauded at festivals both in North America and the U.K.
