PHILADELPHIA — Sex educator Tatyannah King is launching an international spring/summer speaking tour to discuss a variety of topics.
The topics will range from sexual dysfunction across cultures to academic achievement and building your brand as an aspiring sex therapist.
The tour will kick off at Sexual Education on the Western Front Conference, in Denver, with "Sex and Love Around the World: A Deep Dive Into Cultural Influences on Sexuality and Sexual Function" on Feb. 24.
Next, King will appear three times at Widener University’s Human Sexuality Studies Information Session, in Chester, PA, with "Achieving Success as a Sex Therapy Grad Student," on Feb. 27, March 5 and March 26.
King will then attend the 17th Congress of the European Federation of Sexology, in Bologna, Italy, where she will present both her "Sex and Love Around the World” lecture and "Eros in the Digital Age: A Dialogue on Tech's Impact on Sexuality and Expression with Sex Therapists and Educators," on May 23.
Finally, she will attend the AASECT Annual Conference, in St. Louis, with her “Sex and Love Around the World” presentation, on June 10.
King is also preparing to graduate from Widener University’s Human Sexuality and Social Work master’s program with a concentration in sex therapy this spring.
“It’s funny how life works out,” King said. “Four years ago I had a fleeting thought about how cool it would be to go on a speaking tour around the time of my graduation, and now it's happening. It especially feels surreal to be speaking at the same conference as Dr. Ruth, arguably the most famous sex therapist in history and someone who has been a tremendous inspiration for me as a soon-to-be sex therapist.”
