LOS ANGELES — Melissa Stratton toplines "So Extra," the latest feature from Wicked Pictures.
Directed by Mike Quasar, the title also features Chanel Camryn, Ryan Keely, Kay Lovely, Robby Apples, Seth Gamble, Tommy Pistol and Isiah Maxwell.
Stratton plays "a small-town girl with dreams of escaping her mundane life for the glitz and glamor of Hollywood," said a rep. "When Melissa lands her first gig as an extra on what she believes is an indie film, she soon realizes the reality is far from her expectations. Somehow, she’s found herself in a seedy adult film with a jaded director and a cast of outlandish characters."
Quasar enthused about the project.
"This is my favorite script that I’ve ever written, and I couldn’t be happier with the result," he said. "Everyone in the cast knew this was an important movie for me and they all delivered beyond my expectations. Most of the movies I’ve been most proud of in my career have been for Wicked Pictures and this one definitely adds to that list."
Added Stratton, "This movie will go down as a career highlight for me, not just for the near true-to-life character that I played but also the incredible sense of humor Mike Quasar wove throughout it. There is nothing out there like this feature! It’s sexy, funny and real."
Gamble praised the director.
"This was the first time I got the opportunity to act in a movie as a major role in a Mike Quasar movie," he said. "Surprisingly, I know to say I was excited is an understatement. This is by one of the funniest movies I’ve ever done and getting to kind of play Mike Quasar was my honor and Hilarious Mike is not only one of the best people in this business as a person and a pornographer I don’t think anybody does comedy better than him I’m super grateful to see Mike back on the Wicked brand. I hope everybody loves this movie as much as I loved making it."
"So Extra" premieres March 1 on Wicked.
