OAKLAND, Calif. — Sextech pleasure brand Lioness is launching "Sexperiments," a monthly project to study various aspects of female sexuality.
The company will use force sensors in its smart vibrator to gather data on orgasms from volunteer participants. Monthly experiments will explore various factors, including edging, and the effects of cannabis and caffeine. The first experiment aims to compare the experiences of women achieving orgasms while wearing socks versus those in bare feet.
"Using force sensors and an intuitive mobile app, Lioness users will be able to 'Do It for Science' and engage with their orgasm data in a whole new way," said a rep. "Upon completion of their monthly sexperiment, the company will build off of its popular 2023 Pleasure Wrapped data drop and release collective findings and how they compare to the tested population. It’s like a science fair for adults with the potential to gain more research and understanding of orgasms and arousal."
Added CEO Anna Lee, "In 2024, there is still a significant lack of research on female sexual function. We are continuing our mission and taking matters into our own hands and encouraging our users to do ‘it’ for science."
