MONTREAL — Adult Time has announced that production has wrapped on its new psychological thriller, "Birth," written, produced and directed by studio CCO Bree Mills.
The feature stars Casey Calvert, Leana Lovings, Seth Gamble, Tommy Pistol, Robby Apple and Codey Steele, with Daniel Shar and Alison Rey in non-sex roles.
"Birth" explores "the nuanced themes of pregnancy and infidelity, thoughtfully examining the complex emotional landscapes and the profound consequences that arise from such intimate betrayals," said a rep.
Lovings enthused about the project.
"The process of this feature has been a birth in itself," she said. "When Bree Mills invited me to join this project, I was excited from the knowledge of what wild things we were going to embark upon, and what a ride it has been. This film is haunting, sexually confusing and stimulating all in one, and you can only know it once you’ve experienced it in its entirety. This project was made with the sweat and tears of a cast that has devoted their everything to this piece, and I hope that everyone watches it to see just how deep the rabbit hole really goes."
Added Calvert, "Working on 'Birth' was such an incredible experience. I had so much fun playing Laura, exploring her journey and getting inside her head. She is a woman very much unlike myself, and playing her has been every bit the challenge I was hoping for. This has been the biggest role I've ever had in a feature, and I've loved every minute of it."
Gamble praised his director and co-stars.
"I was incredibly honored to be cast by Bree Mills as the conflicted husband in 'Birth,'" he said. "The character had many layers, and Bree was always supportive of my decisions and choices as an actor. It was also an honor to act alongside the incredible Casey Calvert once again. We have all worked together as collaborators and directors, and coming all together is such a tour de force I’m so grateful to be a part of. I love that we all collaborated as Adult Time ambassadors, and getting to work alongside Leana Lovings, I have to say, her character was unbelievably genuine and creepy in the best way. The entire cast and crew went above and beyond in every way, making this one of the best experiences I have ever had on a feature."
"Birth" is set for a September release on AdultTime.
