SAN FRANCISCO — The indie short film “Transit,” created by Jiz Lee and Vanniall, will be screened as part of the prestigious Frameline international LGBTQ+ film festival in San Francisco.
“Transit” will be shown at the 48th edition of the festival on June 27. Frameline runs from June 19–29 in theaters across the San Francisco Bay Area.
Lee posted on X that they were “stoked” about the opportunity, adding, “Way to celebrate queer, trans BIPOC sex workers with joyful, artsy, and explicit trans safer sex. No censorship in my pride. Hashtag winning.”
Founded in 1977, Frameline is the world’s longest-running LGBTQ+ film festival, Pride.com reported. Programmers sorted through over 1,600 submissions and invitations to create this year's edition. The event's mission is "to center historic venues throughout the Bay Area and highlight how film and queerness will carry on.”
