WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The 2024 installment of Mx. Pineapple Pride Cabaret took place Tuesday night at the legendary West Hollywood LGBTQ+ venue Micky’s.
Drag and reality TV royalty mingled with adult performers and execs in an atmosphere of fabulousness, festooned with diverse entertainment acts, including previous winners of the coveted Mx. Pineapple title, all gathered to celebrate the work of industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support.
The event was hosted by “RuPaul’s Drag Race” all-star Morgan McMichaels, drag icon and Falcon/NakedSword Creative Director Sister Roma and award-winning Falcon/NakedSword director Marc MacNamara.
The evening featured music from DJ Ray Rhodes and spectacular performances from former Mx. Pineapple Pageant winners Gemini Dai (Dakota Payne) and Bambi (Liam Riley), plus Broadway star and SiriusXM “Radio Andy” host John Hill, burlesque performer Raquel Starr and adult performer/comedian Drew Valentino.
Attendees were also treated to a rare live recording of the official Falcon/NakedSword podcast, “Discretion Advised,” hosted by Marc MacNamara and John Hill. Their guest was “Real Housewives of Orange County” personality Gina Kirschenheiter, who received a warm welcome from the many reality TV fans in the audience and showed off her game show skills in a series of risqué challenges.
“Who knew Gina from the ‘Housewives of Orange County’ was so fun? Well, I did!” Falcon/NakedSword’s Tim Valenti told XBIZ. “She and the most talented, fun, kind and generous performers in the adult industry came and performed their hearts out for Pineapple Support. These are the kind of events that prove we are strong and proud and will always take care of each other.”
Co-host McNamara added, “Having adult star Cole Conner and Gina from ‘Real Housewives OC’ having an orgasm battle was the pinnacle of my two worlds coming together — literally. I love porn and pop culture, and I love that Falcon/NakedSword and Pineapple Support threw an amazing event celebrating our community for an amazing cause.”
Sister Roma hailed the Falcon/NakedSword team for “really turning out the crowd at Micky’s in WeHo,” and called Kirschenheiter “such a delight,” praising the “RHOC” star for donating her appearance fee back to the Pineapple Support fundraiser.
“That’s the spirit when members of the adult industry come together with drag luminaries and pop culture celebrities to raise money for mental health,” Roma added. “I’m proud to work for a company that supports the industry and eternally grateful to our sponsors. We already have ideas for next year, so stay tuned.”
