LOS ANGELES — The fourth and final installment of reigning XBIZ Performer of the Year Seth Gamble's latest feature, "Iris," has been released.
The erotic thriller from Wicked stars Blake Blossom in the title role, along with Emma Hix, Jennifer White, Charles Dera, Dan Damage and Alex Mack.
"'Iris' centers on the psychological unraveling of a young woman (Blossom)," said a rep.
Gamble expanded on the plotline.
"The movie asks the question, ‘What would you do if you felt so unseen in your daily life that you feel literally invisible?'" he said. "Is Iris driven by a thirst for revenge against a man who once tried to take advantage of her and the indifferent bystanders who let it happen, or is someone or something else killing these unsuspecting passengers? Is her sense of invisibility in society fueling her actions, compelling her to cross boundaries and commit acts that others would never dare consider? That’s the question — just what are the lengths to which a person can go when they feel unseen?"
The final scene, titled "Satisfaction," features Blossom and Dera.
"As a filmmaker, I feel Blake's performance as Iris in this scene is a masterclass in portraying complexity and vulnerability," Gamble enthused. "From the very beginning of this final chapter, she dives deep into the fractured psyche of Iris, bringing to life the character's struggle with her past, her grief, and her desperate search for truth. Blake's ability to oscillate between moments of fragile vulnerability and fierce determination adds layers to Iris, making her both relatable and unpredictable. Her nuanced expressions and the raw, unfiltered emotion she brings to the sex ensure that the audience is always tethered to her turbulent journey. In contrast, Charles Dera, playing opposite her, brings a steady presence that balances the scene’s dynamic. His performance is marked by a subtle intensity, a perfect counterpoint to Blake’s volatility."
"Satisfaction" is streaming on Wicked.
