Made in Europa: Creators Discuss Strategies for Staying on Top of Their Game

While the internet offers instant connection for a truly global community of adult creators and the fans who adore them, the reality is that there are genuine regional differences that go well beyond mere language barriers. Euro creators therefore face a unique marketplace that requires shrewd understanding, and those who want to make it to the top of their game have much to consider.

For instance, not every country has an adult biz hub like LA or Miami, so there can be significant travel required for reaching potential collab partners. Cultural preferences vary widely, so different kinds of content are more prevalent in different countries. Testing protocols and accessibility can also be inconsistent; a 28-day test window might be suitable for some Euro creators, given that certain facilities take upwards of five business days to report results, while others prefer a 14-day testing period. And of course, there are the personal, professional and creative challenges creators everywhere face, including balancing profitable trends with authentic passions.

Nonetheless, there is a rich and vibrant community of talent hailing from Spain, Germany, the U.K., Romania and beyond, mingling, co-creating and joining forces to excite their fans with uniquely titillating fare.

XBIZ reached out to some of the creme de la creme across the pond to get a sense of what’s hot in the diverse Euro creator scene, the latest issues and idiosyncrasies, and what advice they have for aspiring creators hoping to elevate their careers on the continent, for this “Made in Europa” special report.

Creating Bestselling Content That Is on Brand

What kind of content sells best for top Euro creators? There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and certain regions have their own particular favorite kinks — more on that later — but one consistent theme does emerge: find your own unique personal style, and fans who resonate with your brand will find you.

“Age gap, anal, creampies and gangbangs have always been my bestselling content,” notes Marina Gold. “I’ve found that the fans appreciate content that is difficult to produce, and are happy to pay for it. Whenever I shoot content, I always think about what special or different element this video will have that I have never seen on the internet. What is the unique thing that will differentiate my content from what’s already out there?”

She summarizes her brand as “a young woman who loves sperm and sex with older men,” and says that embracing that vibe has helped her videos sell well.

“Fans prefer niche videos made by a niche brand, rather than niche videos made by a brand that creates all different sorts of content,” Gold advises. “At the end of the day, it’s about trust and loyalty. If you made your fans happy before, it is most likely that you will make them happy again, so they will trust you to entertain them.”

Role-playing brings in the biggest numbers for PeachSkye. One day she is a doctor offering “special treatment” to her fans, while the next she becomes a seductive MILF next door who needs help with a broken-down car.

“Whatever the scenario, if there’s a good storyline, it sells well,” PeachySkye says. “Since most of my videos have their own storyline, I never get bored or stuck in a particular niche. I love being able to explore different fantasies and kinks that I perhaps wouldn’t have considered before.”

Jada Sparks finds that the content she shoots with male partners sells best — especially when it includes anal sex, as her fans have expressed a preference for seeing her “destroyed” by a large, thick cock. Meanwhile, those ordering her custom vids often request squirting.

“There are almost no vanilla scenes on my platform,” she underlines.

Ema Karter’s fans also frequently request boy/girl videos. Her bestselling videos have been with Jason Luv, Dredd and Johnny Sins, with whom she has made over 10 very popular videos.

For Persephone Pink, the winning formula has been leaning into her “alternative” branding.

“That often draws submissive men who see the gothic aesthetic as dominant,” she says. “My most popular videos by far are ass-focused JOIs, which works well for me as I love shooting them. But over the last nine years, I’ve grown more confident and vocal, and that has been reflected in my content evolving to become more dominant. I already owned a wardrobe full of black clothing, so it has been incredibly easy for me to embrace the success of my femdom videos.”

Eve Sweet, on the other hand, finds that her fans prefer solo or lesbian videos, despite having performed a variety of hardcore acts for Vixen Media Group since she began teaming up with the company in 2021.

“I create a lot of different types of content and shoot lots of custom videos as well, but almost all of them involve fans wanting to see me coming in a specific or funny way,” she says. “Striptease videos, where I’m undressing myself while I dance, get them crazy. And content focused on my feet and on me squirting sells a lot.”

At one point, Sweet says, her squirting videos became so popular that things got a bit out of hand, to the point where she had to spend a lot of time cleaning her house. After that, she took a break for a while.

“Humiliation videos with a large dildo and dick ratings also do well, as do role-play videos,” Sweet adds. “I have played a hairdresser, a cleaning lady, a schoolgirl, a teacher… Above all, though, my loyal fans are looking for love and care, and that’s what I like to offer them the most.”

Lola Rose says that after seven years in the industry and trying many different genres, she has come to realize that what sells the best is just being genuine and creating content that she enjoys making.

“I love filming role-play content where I’m the submissive girl next door, the stepsis or the nerdy virgin type; these roles suit my personality more naturally,” Rose explains. “I also base my content ideas around the things my fans order in custom videos. Recently, they have been ordering a lot of breeding and stepsister content, so that’s what I have been focusing on.”

Jessica Dx mainly streams as a cam model, but does shoot some content as well — largely solo, plus one or two collabs per year.

“My collaborations are some of my bestselling videos, probably because it’s a nice change for my fans as they’re used to a lot of solo content,” she notes. “As for my solo content, I pay attention to what kind of shows are being requested of me. Obviously, my squirting videos always sell very well, but so does domination-style content. Jerk-off instructions, humiliation, encouragement, etc. I am fetish-friendly on cam but mainly known for squirting, so I guess this works well for me. I always find inspiration in the kind of shows I’m performing on cam and that usually sells very well.”

Speaking of fetish-friendly, Cruel Reell produces content exclusively in the femdom and BDSM genres, where she finds that certain fetishes sell much better than others.

“CBT and ballbusting content sell the best for me, probably due to the fact I have invented 100 brand-new ways to ‘work on’ male genitals and I regularly shock my fans anew,” she says. “In second place, I would say, is bullwhipping. Whipping in general sells well, but whipping with a real bullwhip makes a distinct difference. I think the fans love the powerful sound of the bullwhip, the cracking of the whip on the slave’s body, the whole movement and action in the scenario, just like I do.

“One of the biggest fetishes that simply always works is feet,” Reell continues. “Especially in combination with a jerk-off instruction or cum-eating instruction. It’s not one of my personal favorites, as I prefer action and real interaction, but it’s super-simple content that you can easily record and send unedited via mass message.”

Balancing Profits With Passion

To be a successful Euro creator means having marathon-like endurance to stay in the game, so it is vital for talent to make content they genuinely enjoy, rather than just chasing trends.

“I enjoy making very impactful content,” Gold offers. “I love to be creative and make my porn fantasies come true in my productions. I love to dress up and take bukkakes from 20 guys. I love to feel desired, and I genuinely like cum, so I love to explore this side of myself. For me, content should be an expression of a creative process, about more than just the final product.”

PeachySkye says the vast selection of role-play videos in her store reflects the fact that she truly enjoys making them, and she believes her enthusiasm is reflected in the final product.

“I mostly take custom requests,” she notes. “Taking a script and adding my own little spin on the character I’m portraying is a lot of fun. I love hearing customer feedback after I’ve brought their fantasy to life!”

Sparks says she really enjoys being submissive, so the content she sells is also the content she likes making the most.

“I don’t really like making solo content unless it’s a costume and I envision my fan being there,” she says. “But I love feeling a man, being touched and having genuine connection. The real hardcore content is not my cup of tea, but I can do it and I do like a touch of hardcore.”

Sparks advises Euro creators to focus on what they like making and what suits their brand, because then the audience will come to them naturally.

“The market is oversaturated; that’s why it’s important never to lie to yourself or do anything that you don’t want to do,” she emphasizes. “Find out what you like making, what you like watching yourself do, and don’t give up on your dreams.”

Karter likewise sees a parallel between her passion and her product, in the form of boy/girl videos.

“I like it when the guy knows how to be dominant, but nice at the same time,” she shares.

Pink’s favorite content to shoot is anything cosplay-related.

“Spending time piecing together an outfit, creating a story that fits the character and losing yourself in said character is such an enjoyable experience,” she enthuses. “It’s a great way to bond with fans over our shared interests. It’s even introduced me to new characters I’d not known before, such as 2B from ‘NieR: Automata,’ which led me to discover what is now one of my favorite video games of all time.”

Sweet, meanwhile, says she enjoys every aspect of her work.

“I normally spend a few days without sex before making my content so I can enjoy it 100%,” she explains. “I like doing video calls, and how we start off all shy and silly but then by the end we are so happy and comfortable after orgasming together. I enjoy making hot TikToks, JOI, footjob videos and POV solos. VR is fun too, even if it’s complicated to set up.”

Sweet even delights in social media marketing, sharing photos of her daily life, from a “good morning” video to what she is eating or even just documenting a stroll with her dog. Restaurant flashing and naughty acts in the bathroom also get her excited, while sexting helps her get to know her fans and their fantasies.

“I love the fact that whatever I do, I know they will be happy to share that moment with me,” she says. “I enjoy dressing sexy for them and talking dirty to the camera too, because knowing there is someone watching me and enjoying it turns me on so much. I definitely put all my energy into my videos.”

Rose counts herself lucky, since she loves filming content with storylines — and those are also the videos that sell best for her.

“I think fans can tell when I’m really into a video concept or storyline, which makes them want to see it more,” she explains. “Especially when they can see the chemistry in the video. That’s why if I go on a livestream and talk about how much fun I had filming a video, it makes them want to see it more. It really helps to create content I genuinely love filming.”

Dx finds collaborations the most fun, even though she is mainly a cam model.

“My social battery burns out a lot, so whilst collaborating is fun, it’s also a lot of preparation and organizing,” she notes. “My favorite solo content to make, however, has got to be my jerk-off instructions. It’s just so versatile. If I’m in the mood to cum, I can instruct someone to cum along to my orgasm, or if I’m feeling like a total bossy bitch I can sit fully clothed just talking to the camera. I do it all!”

In keeping with her dominant personality, Reell is aware of her bestselling categories but does not really care whether her content suits the users or not.

“I don’t stick to what sells best, I just do what I feel like doing,” she states. “I remember one video — spanking with helium inhalation — that I don’t think sold a single copy, even though it was really funny. I just want to have fun with my private slaves; the videos for sale are a great side effect.

“Of course, the bestselling categories like CBT, ballbusting and bullwhipping are also among my favorites, and that’s probably why they sell so well,” Reell continues. “But I like variety and therefore I also like to shoot humiliation, strap-on and, above all, a lot of unusual things that are rather atypical, so that I don’t get caught up in mass production.”

Bridging the International Divide

There are certainly some universal principles that help creators succeed regardless of what country they are from or where their audience is based: the value of offering consistent content and streams, leveraging social media for marketing and teaming up with other talent for mutually beneficial traffic, to name a few. But the nature of the international market inevitably means that there will be cultural and language differences to master.

“Spanish-speaking fans make up a big part of my audience, so to make sure no one feels left out, I communicate in both English and Spanish,” Gold notes. “Regarding culture, I try to keep a neutral persona. I don’t share my political opinions or cultural beliefs with my audience, since they can be controversial. At the end of the day, this is a business, and you can’t let your emotions win over what is more beneficial for your brand.”

Being trilingual, Sparks finds language differences easier to handle.

“I also have no management, so it’s me that the fans are interacting with,” she underscores. “And they know it and appreciate it. I use the F2F platform mainly for my Flemish-speaking fans — it’s my mother tongue — while for my OnlyFans, I use English. But I try to incorporate both languages into everything. I’ve never really come across a French fan, probably because they’re looking for French performers from France and not someone from Belgium.”

Fellow multilingual creator Karter can speak English, Spanish and Romanian, and says she makes videos and customs in all three languages, but not all creators are polyglots. Pink says she relies on Google Translate, which she praises as an amazing tool.

“Although some things may still get lost in translation, putting an extra bit of effort into finding a way to communicate can be incredibly rewarding,” she says. “It’s never been this easy to talk to people thousands of miles away, and people in the industry should use this to their advantage. Statistically, a large portion of my fans come from the other side of the world, so it’s important for me to find a way to talk to them.”

Cultural differences can be harder to navigate, she admits, adding that humor can be very different in various countries. Some fans are confused by her dry British humor.

“Thankfully, the majority are so understanding and eager to learn more about me, and I give them the same courtesy,” she says. “Building relationships with fans is incredibly important to me, but it’s fun just to hear about holidays and traditions fans are partaking in throughout the year, that I might not have known about otherwise.”

PeachySkye has likewise found that barriers can be overcome by relying on translation apps, along with a little trust and patience.

“Sometimes they can make messages from international fans appear quite blunt, but I don’t take it personally,” she says. “I’m just happy they have reached out to engage with me, and it’s been fun getting to know people from other places and cultures.”

Rose finds translation tools most useful for direct messaging with international fans, especially if immediate responses are not necessary.

“However, it can be difficult to translate during a livestream, which is where a lot of my fan interactions happen,” she admits.

With a primarily English-speaking audience, Dx only occasionally needs to bridge an international divide.

“A couple of years ago, I had a close fan whom I would do regular shows with, who couldn’t speak English very well,” she remembers. “He would use a translator to speak with me, so when talking back, I would make sure to use full sentences and not text abbreviations. During shows, I would often have to use a translator for specific words that he hadn’t learned in English yet.”

Reell and her slaves nearly always speak German. In fact, the one time she tried to make a clip in English with them, she stopped the attempt after a minute because she felt it was coming across very fake, especially since she does not like to use scripts.

“I have no problem shooting in English with a slave who doesn’t speak German, and it’s also no problem in chats,” she says. “However, a lot of users have told me over the years that they love the femdom clips in German because the language sounds ‘harsh’ to them, and therefore even more dominant.”

Regional Content Preferences

Drilling down into the kinds of content that fans from various countries prefer and request most, top Euro creators have noticed certain patterns emerge over time. While these are not formulas for guaranteed sales — especially given the above discussion about authenticity in branding — these regional differences do offer interesting food for thought.

“In my personal experience, U.S. fans love to see me do solo videos or lesbian scenes, appreciating my tender beauty more, while South American fans enjoy watching me do anal and prefer girl/girl shoots with more voluptuous girls,” Gold says. “Most of my Spanish fans love to see me squirt and dirty talk in Spanish. Overall, though, it’s hard to distinguish by country since fans everywhere like many different things.”

Many of the other creators tend to agree that it can be hard to discern regional preferences — though PeachSkye says her taboo role-playing content proves most popular in the U.S., and Sparks observes that German fans have more peculiar and extreme fetishes, while Americans are more interested in her large boobs.

Karter provides a more granular breakdown.

“My Romanian fans love the videos in which I speak in Romanian and perform with huge men, guys from Germany want to see more domination videos or submissive content, and guys from Spain love to see me twerking and dancing,” she explains. “Every country is different, just like every subscriber is different.”

Pink finds that her more vanilla or creampie-themed videos do quite well with fans from countries where English is not the first language, while more dialogue-heavy fetish content, such as JOIs and role-play videos, always seems to do well with American and British fans.

“My Yorkshire accent can be a bit too heavy for some to understand, but thankfully moans are the same across every language,” she says.

Meanwhile, Sweet finds American fans to be very loyal and desirous of “girlfriend experience” fare.

“It seems that most of them are quite alone at home and there are a lot of trust issues,” she says. “I feel like they get closer to me than to their own family, which I appreciate and love, but it’s not at all like that with European men.

“I do have lots of French, Swiss and German people that open themselves up to me, but it’s harder to get them to do so,” Sweet clarifies. “Social lives in Europe seem way better than in America, as Europeans travel more, but Americans text me even when they are at work. It turns me on to imagine myself in their office!”

Collabing for Mutual Success

Euro creators who collaborate with each other are careful to stay aware of a variety of factors, especially those involving consent and STI testing.

“Collaborations are such a delicate topic, because each performer is responsible for the security measures in place,” Gold notes. “Having high standards will always be your best alternative, and communication is key to achieving a successful collaboration. I have only ever collaborated with experienced performers who know how we work on the professional side of the industry.”

She suggests some specific guidelines: Tests should always include Mgen, swabs should be shown in person on the phone with the lab’s website, performers should establish their boundaries very clearly before coming to a shoot and they should make sure those boundaries are not crossed during it.

“I am very clear with my co-performers about my ‘nos’ list, which I know by heart, and about my key signals to stop or go slower,” Gold shares.

For PeachSkye, one of the best things about living in England is that she does not have to travel too far to collaborate with fellow Brits.

“I’m fortunate to have a community of fellow stars to work with,” she says. “We regularly organize big ‘content getaways’ where we can meet, chat about the industry, make content and have a good laugh. Although it’s a lot of fun, we all take testing and consent very seriously. Everyone must get tested beforehand and provide dated documentation as proof. We also each take a stack of consent forms with us and ensure everyone who participates in the content signs a copy beforehand.”

Sparks recently did some collaborations in the U.S., and made sure to ask for a full STI testing panel at the clinic.

“I make sure my test isn’t older than two weeks, and for paperwork I use the standard two-page model release with two IDs,” Sparks says. “I take pictures of the performer’s face next to the documents and the IDs, and of the documents separately. There’s also a unique form for OnlyFans — that’s only one page. A lot of performers have an online link, which can be easier, but I still use the ‘old fashioned’ way.”

Karter makes sure to test every week, and only shoots with people who have been tested within the past 10 days.

“I also check to see what other performers they have shot with before, and what people in the industry think about them,” she says. “Before we start to shoot the scene, we show each other our tests and we do the paperwork. Paperwork is very important now, because every site wants something different.”

When Pink began shooting collaborations for the first time, earlier this year, she was very concerned about consent. She had several specific boundaries she felt strongly about, and was worried that it would be difficult for her to put them in place, or that she would be judged for doing only very light girl/girl content. Fortunately, she found her prospective collaborators to be understanding and supportive.

“Before all my collabs, we sat down to lay out exactly what we were going to shoot, and what both our boundaries were,” she says. “It was such a positive experience all around, and I didn’t feel ashamed for not shooting more hardcore content. I think spending time before a shoot to communicate consent really helped me feel more at ease when it came to performing, which in turn made the content feel more natural and enjoyable for fans.”

Sweet always tests herself prior to any collabs, and asks other performers to supply their results from tests taken within the previous 15 days.

“If I’m being honest, I have a problem with people shooting four times per day,” she adds, noting that she requires a fresh test if there was a previous scene partner before her.

According to Rose, communication and planning are key when arranging collaborations.

“During the planning process, I discuss my requirements — a test from a clinic within 14 days, including a Mycoplasma test,” she says. “Consent and respecting everyone’s boundaries are both so important when making content with another performer, and everyone’s boundaries are different. I always make sure to discuss boundaries before shooting, including likes and dislikes in terms of physical and verbal actions, to make sure everyone is comfortable. When everyone is comfortable, the content turns out better too!

“It also helps to go through which positions are going to happen in the video,” Rose adds. “This helps give everyone a rough idea of what to do during the shoot, but it also is important for making sure everyone is comfortable with what is going to happen. Different performers have different testing requirements and boundaries, so it’s important to check these details even before you arrive to the collab, to make sure everyone is on the same page.”

Dx notes that testing can be done in multiple clinics around the U.K., including Dean Street in London, which offers certificates for free.

“I usually go to a private clinic that is more local to where I am to save myself the journey into London, because that can be hectic,” she says. “I’ve come across creators who accept 28-day certs and 14-day certs, so it really is down to what each creator is comfortable with. I personally do 28-day certs when shooting content for my own platforms. When I do collaborations, we usually sign all consent forms and share IDs at the start and discuss boundaries, likes and dislikes, etc., before getting down to the fun stuff.”

As for Reell, she very rarely does collabs, and then only with a handful of creators whom she has known for years.

“Since we all perform as dommes and with our own private slaves, testing is not a personal issue for us,” she says.

Advice for New Creators on Euro Challenges, Opportunities

For aspiring creators who are new to the European content game, there are certain challenges and opportunities specific to the region, of which they should be aware, according to top creators.

“Europe offers a beautiful landscape of opportunities,” Gold says. “The key here is diversity; we all come from different countries and speak different languages natively. Something I really enjoy about European porn is that it has a more refined focus on the natural beauty of a model. Nonetheless, testing can be a challenge.”

She explains that this is because testing is not always readily accessible or easy to do in all cities. Some locations can take five days or more to process results, which can prove difficult when scheduling collabs. Gold says she and her collaborators have developed a workaround for this problem.

“To be able to access a better-quality testing experience, we mostly meet for shooting in the main cities where porn is a regular practice, like Prague, Budapest or Barcelona,” she says.

The main difficulty PeachSkye has faced as a European creator is the time difference between her and her fans.

“I sometimes find it challenging to match up with them,” she explains. “There have been many nights when I’ve stayed up until 4 a.m. to chat with someone who’s six hours behind me. I even changed my whole sleep schedule for an entire year to better match my fans! But it was tough to maintain and wasn’t great for my mental health, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend that to anyone.”

She also sees a lot of positive aspects to working in Europe, however. In particular, she has found a strong community of fellow models and stars nearby.

“I have made fantastic friends over the years!” she exclaims.

Karter also takes an optimistic and appreciative view of European opportunities, noting that there are many good Euro content creators who are very well-known in the industry and are hard workers.

Sweet recommends that those who are just starting out focus on figuring out what their fans are looking for.

“New creators need to understand that they are playing the role of the fan’s friend or girlfriend who is there for them, being supportive and caring, listening — and of course, making them horny,” she advises. “Find your personality, explore with them and ask for their fantasies, because there are a lot. Of course, know your limits before starting something new.”

Sweet also recommends having a large number of outfits for fans to choose from, as they love new looks. She says if creators take care of their fans, their fans will take care of them in return.

“Of course, there will be fans that are not the best, coming into your room and just observing, or there will be ones that want a discount, but if you set your limits, you are the one who decides if you want to spend your time and energy on them. I personally don’t recommend it, but stick with what you want!”

Rose notes some considerations that make creating content and collaborating in the U.K. different from doing so in other parts of Europe.

“There are very few studios in England, meaning there are limited opportunities for professional scenes, which limits networking,” she says. “For the same reason, there isn’t a central hub where most creators are based. Unlike the U.S., where a lot of creators are based in LA, Miami and Vegas, creators in England are spread out all across the country.

“This means that for collabs, there is a lot of traveling involved!” she elaborates. “I noticed that collabs in the U.S. take a few hours, whereas in England they usually take a full day, because we want to make the most of the three-hour drive it took to get there.”

Rose also laments that STI testing in England is slow and outdated. Mgen testing in particular is difficult to get and not encouraged.

“Testing is expensive and it usually takes a minimum of four working days to receive results,” she says. “This can cause issues when trying to arrange collabs in England with performers who may have differing testing requirements. But there are a lot of amazing, hardworking creators in England, and there are some beautiful locations here to make good looking content.”

Fellow Brit creator Dx points to the U.K.’s weather as being the only major challenge she has come across.

“I see American creators all the time doing poolside content in the sunshine and obviously, living in England, where it rains a lot, that’s not possible,” she explains. “Without the option to do outdoor content, it can sometimes feel hard to find inspiration. However, the rest of Europe doesn’t seem to have this problem, just England!”

For Reell, one major benefit of working in Europe is how much more open audiences are when it comes to porn and various sexual practices.

“When I was in the U.S., I noticed that most people really have no idea about the BDSM genre, perhaps due to the fact that it is more quickly dismissed as sick and violent there,” she shares. “I also get told by many U.S. users that this is exactly why they appreciate German and other European dommes so much: because they are ‘really’ dominant and don’t hold back. That’s why I would say that you can perhaps let off steam much better as a creator in Europe and also find suitable shooting partners.”

Ultimately, whether they hail from not-so-sunny England, master multiple languages to appeal to a variety of regional fans or engage in niche genres, the consensus among both newcomers and veterans seems to be that content-makers and streamers who want to make it in Europe should expect to encounter both promising opportunities and significant challenges. As long as they respect collaborators’ boundaries and testing preferences, produce authentic content that matches their personal passions and combine a diligent work ethic with some creative adventure-seeking, the future looks bright for Euro creators.
