LOS ANGELES — Kazumi will unveil her new Kazumi Burger, a culinary partnership with celebrity Los Angeles chef and author Alvin Cailan, at a special one-day-only event on Aug. 26.
“These are different kinds of buns,” Kazumi told XBIZ. “I’ve always been obsessed with stuffing my holes, so this should come as no surprise. And for one day only, Monday, Aug. 26, I’m helping everyone else stuff theirs with a different type of meat — the Kazumi Burger!”
Cailan is the mastermind of Chinatown’s trendy Amboy, creator of Eggslut and host of First We Feast’s “The Burger Show,” which airs on YouTube and Hulu. Kazumi described Amboy as one of her favorite restaurants in her hometown of Los Angeles.
“And it’s Filipino-owned!” she enthused. “Alvin and I made sure the ’Zumi Burger is made of Filipino flavors. Knowing you guys love what’s in between my Filipino buns, the meat is sandwiched between two freshly baked Filipino sweet rolls, otherwise known as ‘pan de sal.’ And you know me, I’m a greedy girl and I can’t choose just one type of meat — so you can enjoy both roasted pork and a traditional beef patty at the same time… with some added crunchy pork skin sprinkled on top! And since I’m always known to be a creamer, the buns are slathered with a tangy toyomansi mayo.
“One bite might make you orgasm, two bites might send you to heaven,” Kazumi added.
The Kazumi Burger is emblematic of the popular creator, influencer and performer’s current focus on different types of collabs with industries spanning food, music and fashion.
“It’s the year of the sluts,” the X3 magazine inaugural cover model declared. “So come on down to Amboy!”
The Kazumi Burger Event will take place Aug. 26 between 5 and 9 p.m. at Amboy, located at 727 N. Broadway, Unit 117 in Los Angeles’ Chinatown. Fans interested in sampling the Kazumi Burger and meeting Kazumi, who will appear in person at the event, can preorder here.
