2024 Urban X Awards Show Celebrates Diversity, Inclusion in Adult Industry

LOS ANGELES — The Urban X Awards renewed its commitment to celebrating diversity and inclusiveness in the adult industry with another successful edition of its annual ceremony, this time at the historic Regent Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

“It’s a more intimate space than before, which brings us much closer together,” said Nicole Kitt, who co-hosted the show alongside Carmela Clutch and Charlie B Hustle. “Everything came together so well.”

Kitt, who also took home the Best Actress award, told XBIZ that she was excited simply to be a part of the show in any capacity.

“I know this is one of the best Urban X shows people have seen,” she added. We have beautiful people in their best gowns, a little bit of this, a little bit of that. It’s one of the most eclectic nights in the adult industry! We are going to celebrate everything these awards are known for.”

After a red carpet hosted by Ana Foxxx and Banksie, and a preshow program of comedy and music with Niles Abston and rapper Kxng D.O.P.E., the show kicked off with a celebration of the 2024 class of new Urban X Hall of Famers. These top industry veterans had previously been feted during a special invitation-only dinner on Friday, followed by a VIP party at Players Club with Snoop Dogg as guest star.

Brand-new Hall of Famer Liv Revamped told XBIZ that she felt fully deserving of the accolade.

“Tonight, I’m being inducted into the Urban X 2024 Hall of Fame because I put in 13 years of fucking whore work!” she explained joyfully, reveling by one of the venue’s packed bars. “All that time gave me the invaluable opportunity to meet all the amazing, smart, self-sufficient, independent strong sluts in this industry.”

Nearby, the always-radiant Ana Foxxx was happy to share her endorsement of the show.

“The Urban X Awards is unique and one of my favorites — it’s so inclusive, and so diverse,” Foxxx told XBIZ. “Urban X Awards is the only awards show I went to even before I was in porn. I’ve been to 11 Urban X Awards! Tonight, I’m looking forward to butt, boobies and all the juice in the bodies. I came to look at all the glitter on the booties.”

Kira Noir, who was nominated for Best Actress and Female Performer of the Year, concurred that the Urban X celebration of diversity makes the show special.

“Also, you get to see everybody and everyone gets so dressed up. It’s so creative and so, so fun!” added Noir, resplendent in a black gown.

Walking nonstop around the theater making sure everything ran smoothly was show mastermind Giana Taylor. Nearby, industry veteran and longtime Urban X Hall of Famer James Bartholet — who noted that he had been closely associated with the event “since the very beginning, 15-plus years ago” — shared his feelings about the soirée.

“What’s always special about the Urban X Awards is that we’re celebrating diversity, creativity and unity — that’s our motto.” Bartholet explained. “And that’s what we do every year. Look around — look at the crowd that we have. It’s a wonderfully diverse crowd and everyone is here cheering for each other, there’s no cliques, there’s no standoffishness. Everybody is here celebrating each other and celebrating this industry.”

Bartholet noted that this level of positivity and mutual support made it possible to have “a very cool party atmosphere.”

“It’s just like you’re at a club and you’re having a fun time,” he marveled, gazing around at the proceedings. “We’re very serious about the awards, but everyone has fun. That’s the thing, everyone comes back year after year and tells me ‘We had so much fun!’”

The show also included honors for trans performers and alt and fetish models, the latter also being represented at a half-time “Smelliest Feet Contest.”

Participating in the contest was Urban X newbie Aspen Jade, who told XBIZ she loved “the way everyone is so friendly, and everybody wants to mingle and meet each other.”

“The energy in this room is phenomenal!” Jade added.

The evening went on with awards for playfully named categories such as “Orgasmic Oralist” (Ms Sapphire), “Talented Tongue” (Justice), “Most Amazing Ass” (Chocolate Goddess) and “Most Beautiful Breast” (Miss B Nasty, who was also named Social Media Star of the Year).

The more traditional categories of Female and Male Performers of the Year went to Violet Myers and Alex Jones respectively.

Popular newcomer Baby Gemini was hailed as Female Rising Star, with Hollywood Cash as male counterpart. Other top awards went to Santana XXL (Gay Performer of the Year), TS Parris (Transgender Performer of the Year), Eddie Jaye (Urban X Stud), Apollo Moon (Best Trans Masculine Performer), Emma Rose and Leilani Li (sharing Sexiest Trans Star), King Noire (Best Pansexual Performer), BADKITTYYY (Sexiest BBW Star), Avery Jane (Hottest Fetish Star), Mone Divine (Most Popular Comeback Star) and Penny Barber (MILF Performer of the Year).

Content Creator of the Year awards went to Lil D and show co-host Charlie B Hustle, who also received Hottest Ink Star. Director of the Year went to veteran alt maestro Ivan.
