Adult Performers, Directors Launch #HandsOffMyPorn Political Ad Campaign

LOS ANGELES — A group of adult performers and directors is spearheading a new political ad campaign titled #HandsOffMyPorn, targeting porn viewers in swing states with a warning about Project 2025’s promised ban on adult content.

The new ad campaign, reportedly with a budget of $100,000 and conceived in collaboration with progressive political marketing group Artists United for Change, launched Monday, receiving a boost from an article in The New York Times. The ads will target viewers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada, all important states in the upcoming Nov. 5 elections.

The ads direct viewers to HandsOffMyPorn.com, where they can view SFW video testimonials from Holly Randall and Siri Dahl about the dangers of Project 2025, as well as background information on the initiative's proposed porn ban and plan to imprison those who produce adult content. Additionally, site visitors have the opportunity to register to vote, verify their voter registration status and more.

A rep noted that the demographics of porn consumers who will see these ads could make the difference in the 2024 election.

“Men are much more likely to watch online pornography than women, and according to the Survey Center on American Life, younger men are the biggest consumers,” the rep said. “Among men aged 18-29, an impressive 44% had watched porn within the past month, while an even higher percentage, 57%, was observed among men aged 30-49. The Washington Post reported that the Trump campaign is making a concerted effort to get these very same male voters.”

Those behind the ad campaign are emphasizing that these voters may see their own rights and freedoms curtailed as a result of Project 2025’s promise to ban and criminalize pornography.

Randall explained, “Voters have to take that threat seriously. We cannot simply rely on precedent that consuming pornography is legal and has been legal for a long time. If the last few years have shown us anything, it’s that anything can happen. Not only are makers of adult content in danger, so is everyone who watches it.”

Dahl added, “In my 12 years since I started my career in the adult film industry, I’ve seen a lot of political attacks on our industry. But Project 2025’s plan to make pornography illegal and throw all the pornographers in jail is really the worst example yet. This plan of Project 2025’s is an egregious attack on your right to privacy, and not to mention it’s just purely unconstitutional.”

Director Siouxsie Q. explained that although the adult industry “might not be everyone’s cup of tea,” nevertheless for her and many others, it has been their path to the American Dream.

“Unfortunately, the Republican Party and the authors of Project 2025 plan to criminalize every aspect of our industry, including adult consumers like those seeing these ads,” she warned. “An attack like this represents a terrifying erosion of free speech in America.”

Cherie Deville said, “This is about protecting our livelihoods and ensuring that sex workers aren’t pushed further into the margins. It’s more important than ever to stay informed and vote. Our voices matter, and we must stand up for our rights and the future of our industry by casting our ballots."

Director and performer Casey Calvert added, “This will devastate our industry, its workers and our fans. We must fight back against this ultraconservative agenda that is rooted in religious conservatism, fear mongering and the suppression of women’s rights. Don't let these zealots destroy my career and your right to enjoy adult entertainment.”

Citing Project 2025’s declaration “Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned,” Abigail Mac said, “It is not a threat to the adult industry, it is a promise. If we do not make our voices heard and vote, there will be no industry. Performers, crew and fans alike need to come together more than ever before. We can fight this together. If we do nothing, we will surely lose everything.”

Other adult stars backing the campaign include Monique Alexander, Alison Rey, Kimmy Kim, Bailey Rayne, Karla Lane, Seth Gamble, Freya Parker, Little Puck, Scarlett Skies, Brittany Andrews and Tommy Pistol.

According to the campaign organizers, an expansion of the ad buy is likely and will be announced soon.
