LOS ANGELES — Sinatra Monroe headlines Digital Playground’s new comedy feature, "Single Minded."
Directed by Marvin Love, the title co-stars Codi Vore, Baby Gemini, Nicole Doshi, Charles Dera, Dante Cole, John Strong, Van Wylde, Will Pounder and Seth Gamble.
The feature centers on the events of a bachelorette party.
"Layla (Monroe) has finally traded in her horny ways for a diamond ring and traditional life with her fiancé Chad,” the synopsis reveals. “Her ride-or-die besties, played by Vore, Gemini, and Doshi, have other plans in mind. Determined to give Layla one last night to remember, they’ve set up the ultimate bachelorette party, with all the fucking a bride-to-be could ever dream of. From hot male strippers to horny cops, temptation is everywhere, and Layla and her unhinged girlfriends can’t keep their hands to themselves."
A rep for Digital Playground elaborated on the premise and praised the cast and crew.
“After a series of action films and thrillers, we were craving a fun, raunchy, female-led sex comedy,” the rep said. “Who better than Marvin Love to direct? He’s got a killer sense of humor and knows how to create a great atmosphere on set.”
Added Love, “‘Single Minded’ was a dream to work on. It wasn't difficult to put four funny girls in a room and wait for chaos to happen in a manner that delivered the film's mission. The fans can expect a funny film and some fresh faces in the space of comedy sprinkled with some veterans, which made it refreshing.”
Monroe enthused about the project.
“I enjoyed the entire process,” she said. “My co- stars were amazing, and the crew was first class; I hope I get to work with all of them again soon. Shooting a comedy was a first for me. Ironically, I could see some of this stuff happening to me in my own life. The director and crew really helped me get into character and not be afraid to just let go.”
Doshi also complimented the director and her co-stars.
“I love being on set, and working with Marvin and crew members can make you feel like you’re part of a unique and creative family,” she said. “Each person has a specific role — from the director’s guidance to the cinematographer’s vision, and everyone is working toward the same goal, making something special.”
Baby Gemini said, “Working with such an experienced crew was absolutely amazing. Being on this set gives you a look into what it’s like being on a real movie set. There were 12-14 hour days of non-stop hard work, but it was so worth it, and I can’t wait to experience it again.”
The first scene from "Single Minded" drops today on DigitalPlayground; the subsequent three installments will drop throughout the month.
