BOSTON — Jade Greene makes her adult debut alongside Jinx Iris in the latest horror release from Wasteland Studios, titled "Swarm."
The title is “a unique viewing experience that will leave you buzzing with excitement with its compelling storyline, CGI effects — created with the latest AI technology — and spectacular score,” said director and studio honcho Colin Rowntree. “The plot centers on the 2024 emergence of millions of cicadas, reimagined as a government experiment gone terribly awry.
“Greene (Dr. Veronica Brennan) and Iris (Stella) shine as intrepid entomologists racing against the clock to find and kill the genetically mutated cicada queen before she can produce a new generation of offspring which spells doom for all humanity,” Rowntree added. “And what would an end-of-the-world experience be without some sexual chemistry between the heroes?”
Greene enthused about the project.
“Being new to the adult industry and welcomed into a feature film for my first project, I feel incredibly lucky, especially as a disabled performer,” she said. “They made accommodations so I could be on set to create the art we were all so passionate about.”
Rowntree also praised the use of AI to create the creature effects.
“It was an extremely satisfying project that allowed us to all break a lot of ground. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished with ‘Swarm’ and are excited to bring it to viewers,” he said. "Artificial intelligence is custom-made for a filmmaker like me, who has long enjoyed pulling from real-life news events to create timely storylines for audiences of adult films."
The title also features contributions from film director Michael Ninn, who used AI software to create both the music and soundscape for the film.
"Ninn sees Artificial Intelligence as more than a tool," Rowntree added. "He describes it as a 'creative
partner' he can use to bring realism to projects like Swarm."
“Swarm” is streaming on Wasteland.
