MUNICH — Beducated has released data and insights about the orgasm gap ahead of International Women's Day on March 8.
"Recent research reveals a striking disparity — straight men are nearly twice as likely to orgasm during partnered sex as their female partners, but when women are alone, that gap vanishes entirely," said a rep. "The problem isn’t that women can’t orgasm, it’s that their pleasure isn’t being prioritized. Women climax just as often as men when masturbating, yet in heterosexual encounters, many struggle to advocate for their needs."
Added CEO Mariah Freya, “Women’s pleasure has been treated as secondary for far too long. Our research shows that women know exactly what they need to orgasm, but when they’re with a partner, they hesitate to speak up. Many have been conditioned to see their pleasure as an afterthought, or worse, to fake it to avoid hurting their partner’s ego.”
