The county Sheriff told XBiz that this is one of the first cases of its kind that he has seen in Brown County.
Charges were filed earlier this month against a 13-year-old boy after police uncovered an alleged scheme to produce explicit photographic depictions of his younger friend, a 12-year-old who was arrested over the weekend.
The boys have been charged with six counts of creating child pornography, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
The alleged child porn incident occurred at the older boy's house.
Police have not disclosed the names of the two boys because they are minors.
The Brown County State's Attorney General's office told XBiz that there might also be a third suspect who has not yet been brought into custody.
In March of this year a similar case took place in Pittsburgh involving a 15-year-old girl who took nude photos of herself and posted them on the Internet. She was later arrested on charges of producing and distributing child porn.
The girl was allegedly involved in producing content of herself performing sex acts and then sharing the pictures with people she met in chat rooms.
