According to a spokesperson from Private, the new agreement will allow the company exclusive rights to distribute work by award-winning U.S. directors like Michael Ninn and Seymore Butts on the European market.
“We are delighted to be associated through this agreement with an industry-leading name in adult entertainment,” said Richard Arnold, CEO of Pure Play Media. “[It] will take our products to an unrivalled base of European customers through its powerful distribution network.”
Private already distributes 10 DVDs per month through its 32-country European network. Under the new agreement, Pure Play Media will contribute an additional 10 DVDs to Private each month for the next three years.
“This agreement is only the first step towards capitalizing on the full potential of our additional capacity and uniquely positioned network,” said Berth Milton, president and CEO of Private Media Group, in a statement released this morning.
Milton also said he believes the new agreement will open up further markets for Private in the future.
“Through our cooperation with Pure Play Media, we also expect to get additional content rights for broadcasting activities which will enable us to further expand in this area,” stated Milton.
Private expects to begin distribution of Pure Play content later this year and be in full operation by January 2005.
