AEBN Signs Deal With Dirty Picture Show

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — AEBN, the Adult Entertainment Broadcast Network, has announced that it has signed a deal with Vancouver-based adult animation studio Dirty Picture Show Productions.

Dirty Picture Show Productions will produce a series of animated adult features based on its popular flash series for AEBN. The first film produced under the deal, "3/Way", is currently an AEBN.com "Editor's Pick." Based on Dirty Picture Show's original "3/Way" series, it is available for streaming pay-per-view only on AEBN.com and its webmaster affiliate sites.

"It was a big step for us and it's a big step for AEBN," said Dirty Picture Show executive Andrew Graham in a phone interview from Hamburg, Germany. "We recognized right out of the gate after our first official introduction to AEBN at Internext in January that AEBN was a potential opportunity for us to gain some exposure, and this was an opportunity for AEBN to jump into the world of adult animation."

"It was always in our business plan that if we could capture a little bit of an audience - that glint in the eye of viewers - in partnership with a broadcaster like AEBN, then we could move ahead and use our existing assets to develop the long-form version of our series," Graham said.

Dirty Picture Show Productions was founded by Richard Down, the creative mind behind the animated series "Toonvision." DPS Productions produces six flash animated series, including "Speedsluts," "Dirty Ernie" and "Reckonings." Each episode is typically three or four minutes in length.

Dirty Picture Show Productions executive Andrew Graham told XBiz that his company isn't new to the animation business.

"The company has been around since 1996. It has had various incarnations and incorporations and therefore various names and titles to go along with that. Richard (Down) was the original founder of the company," said Graham. "The company has always been a digital entertainment and media company. The services that the company has provided have extended well into the mainstream new media market, but the backbone of the company has always been providing adult animation services to adult companies."

"That is what sort of catapulted the company from having only the skills and tools to develop something... to where we are today," Graham said.

"One of the difficulties in finding really good animated adult content is determining who controls the Internet streaming rights," said AEBN Senior Content Executive Erin Burns. "This deal is perfect for us since the films are being produced for AEBN. It's hardtoon hardcore."

Concerning AEBN's future plans for adult animation, Burns told XBiz that she has been working on getting animated content for years.

"Thanks to Richard and our deal with Dirty Picture Show we are well on our way," said Burns. "AEBN wants to have the best anime content out there."

According to Burns, plans are also in the works for an AEBN pay-per-view site that is solely dedicated to anime and hentai animation.
