NakedSword Plans Full Week of GayVN Fare

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Video-on-demand site NakedSword.com will debut its first-ever Online Film Festival in the week leading up to the GayVN Awards.

Beginning March 3, fans will have the opportunity to watch a variety of GayVN-related programming on a pay-per-view basis, including full-length GayVN-nominated films and special features on the Best Actor and Best Newcomer nominees.

“There are so many titles out there that its easy for consumers to get lost,” Michael Stabile, senior media manager at NakedSword, told XBiz. “It was important for us to cull the best of the best.”

The centerpiece of the event are Best Picture nominees “BuckleRoos” from Buckshot/Colt; Falcon Studios’ “Taking Flight;” Hot House Entertainment’s “Perfect Fit;” and Jet Set Productions/NakedSword-original movie “Wet Palms.”

“We’re really excited by the enthusiasm shown by the studios themselves for this promotion,” said Tim Valenti, president of NakedSword. “It’s a great chance for them to promote their product and brand their studio. And it’s a great honor for us to be able to host them.”

The company had originally planned to show just the four Best Picture-nominated films but began adding more titles and content to give viewers a more well-rounded look at the crème de la crème of gay adult entertainment.

Other movies available for download include Hot House’s “Screw” and "The Road to Hopeful, nominated for best all-sex DVD and best classic DVD, respectively; Colt Studio’s “Hog: The Leather File,” nominated for best leather video; and Athletic Model Guild Studio's "Best Size 35," nominated for best alternative release.

In addition to the full-length movies, NakedSword is offering a number of streaming web special features, including interviews with and movie clips of nominated performers. Viewers will get up-close-and-personal looks at Marcus Iron, Michael Lucas, Dean Phoenix, Aiden Shaw, Josh Weston, Diego De LaHoya and Adam Dexter.

NakedSword also will air the complete GayVN Awards show during the week following the event, as well as a behind-the-scenes special on the site’s “Tim and Roma! Show.”

The GayVN Awards will be held March 10 at Rage in West Hollywood, Calif.
