"I knew this was going to be a special appearance from the moment I stepped off the plane," Lynn said. "They greeted me with a dozen roses and carried me away in a limo. The southern hospitality started at the airport and never ended."
Something else that never ended was the line of fans that showed up to meet Lynn and buy her products, a representative said. Throughout Saturday afternoon and well into the night, as many as 1,000 people waited in a line that stretched around the building. Even the store's owner, Hall Worthington was shocked.
"I have never seen such an enthusiastic response for an in-store signing," Worthington said "There were people lined up even when Gina was away on a dinner break. They waited for her to come back just to meet her. At midnight there was still a line of people waiting to buy Gina Lynn DVDs. I think people overlook Knoxville because it doesn't seem like a town where this would work. People forget what a huge sports and college town Knoxville is. We loved having Gina and can't wait to have her back."
Lynn, who has been doing store signings since 2000 at dozens of stores over the years, agrees that this one was special.
"A lot of times people will wait in line for an autograph or a Polaroid and I feel bad for the store owners," Lynn said. "This time people were in line and buying DVDs as well as the stuff I had. It was great for everyone. I was very happy to see the store doing so well. Everyone was great and so polite. I can't wait to come back. My plan is to bring some other stars as well and promote a movie together."
Gina is still basking in the success of Erotica LA and the great response she received for her latest project "Demons Within," a representative said.
